National Development Council (NDC), Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE), and the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Startup Terrace led Taiwanese startups to participate in SWITCH. Startup Island TAIWAN and Sunrise Medium organized the Taiwan Forum, showcasing the achievements of Taiwan's startups in digital innovation, financial technology, and information security and using Singapore as a knocking brick in the Southeast Asian market, attracting more foreign investment and partners.

What's happened?

  • The Singapore Week of Innovation & Technology (SWITCH) is Asia's benchmark exhibition for innovation, organized by Enterprise Singapore, bringing together entrepreneurs, accelerators, and investors worldwide to promote market collaboration.
  • Together with TWSE and the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Startup Terrace, NDC participated in SWITCH, and Taiwan Tech Solution Day was organized by Taiwan's national startup brand, Startup Island TAIWAN, and Sunrise Medium, showcasing Taiwan's innovative technology and services.
  • Utilize Taiwan as a technology intersection and invite Taiwan's innovative entrepreneurs with rich market experience to share their experiences with the SWITCH attendees to increase the international visibility of Taiwan's tech innovations. The forum enhanced matchmaking opportunities for Taiwan's companies.

Can Taiwan contribute to the Southeast Asian market?

  • The forum was divided into three sessions. Session 1 invited FunNow and OrionGo to share their experiences using 5G and data to connect life and create a business model that combines convenience and innovation.
    • FunNow is a lifestyle service booking platform focusing on instant booking services, including restaurants, nail salons, movie tickets, and other entertainment. • OrionGo is a software innovation specializing in location-based algorithms, which can be used in smart factories, hospitals, and airports to record the locations and routes of production line personnel or to assist in disaster prevention and guidance in chemical plants, as well as in cooperation with airports to assist in the location-based navigation of passengers.
